Welcome to the Australian Pinzgauer Breeders Association web site.

If you're travelling through the countryside and you come across a herd of Pinzgauers you'll probably get out of your car and take a look, such is the distinctive eye catching appearance of this increasingly popular beef cattle breed.

Pinzgauers have been around in Australia since the late eighties. However it was in the mid nineties that cattle people began to sit up and take notice of this beef breed with so much going for it. This growing awareness and respect has been recognised in the show ring with major awards being received by the breed in Australia's most prestigious shows.

Royal Melbourne Show
Pinzgauer Cattle were well represented at the 2008 Royal Melbourne Show.

Victorian Breeders presented an impressive cross section of Cattle to be showed.

Lockwood Lodge from Drouin took out the most successful Pinzgauer breeder, with BJ's Pinzgauers (Ben Fraser) from Labertouche and Hadwellyn (David & Lynne Wells) from Longwarry also taking out their respective class entries.
